Felix Mosse

Felix Mosse is a novelist, script editor, and Associate Director of Criterion New Writing — one of London's foremost new writing programmes. His debut novel, The Mistral, an epic fantasy trilogy, was published by Penguin Michael Joseph on 28 May 2026, with simultaneous release via Penguin Audio. The acquisition was covered in The Bookseller. It released to Instant Sunday Times Bestseller, No1 in the Independent Bookshop Chart, and a Waterstones Besteller. He is represented by Alex Cochran of Greyhound Literary.

As founder and co-head of Criterion New Writing — hosted on stage at the Criterion Theatre, West End, and financed by the Criterion Theatre Trust and Arts Council England — Felix has mentored over 170 writers across theatre, television, and film. Alumni have written for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, and have been nominated for numerous industry awards. In January 2025, Criterion announced a three-year new writing partnership with the INK Festival.

Alongside his work at Criterion, Felix runs a script editing practice now in its second decade. He specialises in story architecture, narrative structure, and taking mid-to-late stage scripts to professional standard — working always to preserve the writer's creative vision while ensuring the work is both artistically rigorous and commercially viable.
